About
The local team that makes a China sourcing trip work
China Source Concierge is a sourcing and business travel partner based in Guangzhou. We plan the trip, sit in the meetings and stay with the order until the container leaves.
Why this exists
A three-day trip is easy to waste
Our founder spent eight years on the sourcing floor in Guangzhou. Every month he met buyers who flew fourteen hours, ran six factories in three days and flew home with a sample that was not what the line could produce. The fault was rarely the buyer. The week was built on phone calls and catalogues, not on what the factory floor actually looked like.
We started CSC to straighten that path. Fewer visits, better briefed, with the quote and the sample checked before the flight home. One team follows the file from the first factory call to the bill of lading.
The money question
How we are paid
You pay us. Factories do not. We do not sell products, we do not resell goods and we do not add a margin to freight. Three lines cover everything we do.
Where our money comes from
- Day rate for trip support: from US$280 per day, one person, including interpreting and city transport.
- Project fee for sourcing, factory visits or inspection: from US$600 per project, or 3–5% of order value.
- Logistics handling fee: quoted per shipment. Freight, insurance and port charges pass through at cost.
No factory commission, no resale, no hidden markup on the unit price. When a supplier offers us a commission, it is deducted from your invoice and shown as its own line.
Boundaries
What we are not
Not a travel agency
We build the week around factory hours, and sightseeing fills only what is left.
Not a B2B platform
You do not register and send enquiries into a queue, you fly in and we work beside you in the room.
Not a freight forwarder
We compare three forwarders per shipment and charge a handling fee instead of a markup on freight.
The team
Three people you will meet
Lin Wei
Sourcing partner 8 years
Lin Wei has bought homeware and hardware in Guangdong and Zhejiang for eight years. He reads a production line in ten minutes and asks the questions suppliers hope you skip.
Maya Zhou
On-site interpreting Four languages
Maya runs the day on site: meetings, drivers, samples and the notes you get each evening. She works in English, Mandarin, Russian and Arabic, and keeps the negotiation on the price you came for.
Ahmed Saleh
Logistics Documents
Ahmed handles bookings, customs paperwork and consolidation at our Guangzhou warehouse. He checks the HS code and the carton count before anything is sealed, and lists the destination charges before you book.
Numbers
Eight years in one city
These numbers come from our own records, not an industry survey. Ask for a client reference in your sector and we will connect you before you book.
Tell us what you are buying and when you land
Send the product, the target price and your dates. You get a route, a fee and the factories worth your time within one business day.
